Welcome to Population and Public Health Sciences! To celebrate passing the first month mark of fall semester, we want to offer our students a chance to have fun and win some prizes! We bring to you a Department of Population and Public Health Sciences Grad Student scavenger hunt. Grab your phone or tablet and try to find things around your home, outside and online for a chance to win Amazon gift cards!

How it works

Each day on the Public Health Sciences at USC Facebook and Instagram pages, from September 21-September 27, we will share a prompt of something to find and take a photo of. It may be something around your home, outside, or online. For example, you might be asked to share a photo of “someone Fighting On,” or a screenshot of a page from a USC website. Follow our Facebook and Instagram pages, and submit your photo and any additional information asked in either a comment to the day’s Facebook post, or on Instagram by tagging @uscphs and using the hashtag #DPMScavengerHunt by the deadline specified in that post (generally 11:59pm Pacific time for each day’s prompt). You do not have to post to both pages, just the platform that you prefer to use.

The next day, we’ll draw randomly from all submissions for one $10 Amazon card prize winner (delivered electronically). Once you win a $10 gift card, you won’t be eligible for another – BUT you still have a chance at the grand prize …

On September 30, one GRAND PRIZE winner will be randomly selected to receive $100 in Amazon cash. The winner will be selected at random from all participants who have completed the prompts throughout the scavenger hunt. The more times you participate, the greater your chance at the Grand Prize will be.

Please feel free to reach out to cebarnes@usc.edu for an updated list of winners during the scavenger hunt.

Have fun and good luck!
