Why did you choose to pursue your degree at USC?

The Master of Science in Global Medicine program provided me the opportunity to connect me to inspiring peers and faculty that share our global aspirations for world health.

What is one of your favorite memories from your program?

I really enjoyed meeting people from various backgrounds, upbringings, perspectives, and interests in life.

What course in your program did you enjoy the most and why?

I enjoyed MEDS 577: Palliative Care with Dr. Ben LaBrot, for its return towards the ‘care’ in healthcare, and understanding that pain is inevitable, but suffering is not.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Explore your personal interests and find friends within and beyond your academic studies. Our unity in diversity is something to be proud of, so bring who you are to the table. You’re worth more than you believe.

What are you planning to do after graduation?

I’ll prepare to apply into medical school!
